Improving your page speed performance is good for a number of reasons. Some of which include improving your organic search rankings and your improving conversion rates.

This is important because increases to your organic search rankings will help you gain “free” traffic from the organic search channel. If you run an e-commerce business, then this is especially important because it will help you decrease your acquisition costs over the long-term.

Improving conversion rates will also help you decrease your acquisition costs in your PPC campaigns. Typically, fewer people bounce when pages load quickly, which allow more customers to make it through the marketing funnel.
